The official Bethesda Softworks blog has announced that its role-playing game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which has been blessed with incredible critic reviews [1], shipments, and sales [2], is receiving a deluxe Legendary Edition on 04 June (presumably for the United States) and June 07 for European territories. This edition of the game, not referred to as a “Game of the Year Edition” as the deluxe editions for Morrowind and Oblivion were (despite the game having won numerous overall Game of the Year awards [3]), nevertheless contains the full game with its most recent update and with the game’s three add-ons: Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition will release on Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3 for $59.99.

[1] According to Metacritic: PC reviews, Xbox 360 reviews, PlayStation 3 reviews [2] According to USA Today and Wired. [3] To name a few: Spike, X-Play.

Off the record

To be perfectly honest, Skyrim sales seem to be becoming frequent enough that getting all this content for less than the asking price probably wouldn’t be too difficult. I do love that box art, though.
